Xiaomi Mi Earphones (Basic Edition) and Mi Band (White LED) launched ahead of Diwali
Xiaomi has been heavily publicizing their Diwali sale dubbed "DiwaliWithMi" for almost a week now. The company however has added two new products to their portfolio in India which will go on retail during their Diwali sale starting from tomorrow.
First up is the basic edition of the Mi Piston 3.0 earphones. While the earpods looks rather similar in terms of design to the Mi Piston 3.0, it comes at a markedly lower price tag of Rs 299. Needless to say that the low price means that Xiaomi has cut many a corners.

One of the most apparent ones is the use of rubberised plastics for covering the wires in place of the Kevlar material seen on the Piston 3.0. However Xiaomi has done an impeccable task of using flat intangible wires in place of the cylindrical ones seen on most budget headphones.
In fact it wouldn't be wrong to state that this is the cheapest "branded" earphones which come with a flat cable and a mic. The Mi Earphones Basic Edition is presently available only in Black and White variants on the Mi.com or Mi Store App.
Beside the Mi Piston, Xiaomi has also introduced a cheaper variant of their highly popular Mi Band. At a price tag of Rs 799 the Mi Band comes with the same features as seen in the pricier edition.

The only notable difference however is that the Mi Band comes with white LED lights instead of the previous model which came with four different colours. Apparently Xiaomi stated that most of the users of the Mi Band don't change the progress light colour even though there four colours in total. Hence they found this area as an excellent place to cut costs and make it more affordable.
