Boult Mustang Dash TWS Review: Funky and Affordable Buds With Long-lasting Battery
Boult Audio recently launched three true wireless stereo (TWS) earphones in India in partnership with Ford's iconic Mustang muscle car namely - the Mustang Torq, Mustang Dash, and the Boult Mustang Derby in India.
I got my hands on the Mustang Dash, which is priced at Rs 1799. I have been testing the earbuds as my daily driver for over a week, and here is my detailed review of these affordable earphones.

Design
Inspired by the Ford Mustang, the Boult Mustang Dash earbuds come in a square charging case adorned with the iconic LeMans stripes. The Mustang Pony logo adds a special edition touch. While the design gives its premium look, people who don't prefer funky design might not like it.

They are equipped with 13mm drivers and can be a good pick for daily use. If you are looking for buds for workout purposes, it might not be ideal as the buds fall out while moving. Moreover, the Mustang Dash has an IPX5 rating for splash resistance, which is very common in this price range.
Sound and Audio
Powered by BoomX technology, the audio quality is quite impressive. While the Mustang Dash does not support ANC, it comes with Quad Mic with Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC), which blocks background noise during calls. It also supports SBC and AAC Codec and features 45ms low latency for lag-free gaming, which can be activated by tapping four times on any bud.

If you are using the buds with your Android, you can get high-quality sound, while using it with my iPhone, the audio quality was not clear. The sound can be customised from the Boult Amp app available in both the Play Store and Apple's App Store. The app is designed to better understand the buds, including the touch control and EQ settings for bass.

Touch Control and Connectivity
These earphones feature Bluetooth 5.4 with Blink and Pair support for quick and seamless connections. The Mustang Dash can connect to two devices simultaneously and offer smooth touch controls. Tap one time the multi-function button to play or pause music and answer calls. Tap a multi-function button on the left to turn to the previous track and tap right to go to the next track. The earbuds pair instantly when removed from the charging case.

Battery Life
As promised, the Boult Mustang Dash TWS delivers a total of 100 hours of playback time when used with the charging case. A quick 10-minute charge provides 100 minutes of playtime, ensuring you stay connected even on the go.
Charging the earbuds is convenient with Type-C support, though it takes a bit over two hours to fully charge them. The battery life is impressive; after a week of use following a full charge, the battery still holds at 90 per cent.

Verdict
People who like funky and lightweight designs, definitely like it. Also, if you are looking for affordable earbuds with long-lasting battery life, the Mustang Dash can be a good pick. While it is priced at Rs 1799, misses out ANC feature and quick charging. Before making a decision, it's advisable to explore other products within the same price range.
