- Bulky Charging Case
- Doesn’t completely justify its price point
DESIGN & BUILD
At first glance, the LG Tone Free Fit TF7 may not instantly scream "premium", but don't be fooled by appearances alone. Once you hold these TWS in your hands, the sturdy build quality speaks volumes. The design leans towards a youthful and sporty vibe, perfect for your energetic outdoor routines. The case, though a tad bulky compared to its counterparts, boasts a matte finish that feels remarkably elegant. The glossy texture, paired with the rubber fins on the buds, crafts a unique aesthetic that's hard to miss.

Standing out among its peers, the Tone Free Fit TF7 sports a waterproof design that ensures your TWS can brave any weather. Rain or shine, you're covered - and with the addition of a UV light in the case to zap bacteria, LG's attention to detail is commendable. An IP67 rating further reinforces its outdoor credentials.
COMFORT & FIT
Comfort and fit often make or break earphones, and the LG Tone Free Fit TF7 nails it. Whether you're jumping, skipping, or doing push-ups, these earbuds aren't going anywhere. LG's commitment to creating a snug, unshakeable fit for your outdoor activities shines through these rigorous trials.

SOUND QUALITY
Aside from features, the fundamental aim of a TWS is to produce high-quality sound. So, how does the LG Tone Free Fit fare in this regard? Well, the result is interesting.
To spice things up, I pitted the LG Tone Free Fit TF7 against the OnePlus Buds Pro2, which costs ₹500 less than Tone Free. I picked 'Can you hear the music' by Ludwig Goransson from the recently released Oppenheimer and 'Jiya Jale' by A.R. Rahman to test the audio. Both tracks boast intricate layers and wide dynamics - the perfect canvas to analyze the earbuds' audio capabilities.
I may argue that the LG Tone Free Fit lacks punch for its pricing range. It has a really good soundstage, and if you close your eyes, you can feel the vocals coming from the front, the percussion coming from the back, and the instruments coming from the side, giving you a 3D audio experience, but you don't get to feel the music as much as you do with the OnePlus Buds Pro2. Where the sound is slightly clearer and dynamic.

To give you an example, in 'Can You Hear the Music' by Ludwig Gorranson, the music becomes progressively complex as the song develops, with more and more instruments entering the piece, and the LG Tone Free Fit is able to handle intricate layers with finesse.
However, as the track hits 1:23, a subtle bassline emerges. The LG Tone Free Fit TF7 handles this complexity admirably, maintaining audio clarity. Yet, when stacked against the OnePlus Buds Pro2, the latter flaunts a more robust and vibrant bass that adds an immersive layer.
Shifting to 'Jiya Jale,' both the LG Tone Free Fit TF7 and OnePlus Buds Pro2 ace the dynamic range. However, the sound in the LG Tone Free Fit feels a bit subdued. Lata Mangeshkar's vocals shimmer louder and more clearly in the OnePlus buds Pro2, capturing the emotion of the song.
Although, as I previously mentioned, both buds handle the intricacies really well; for a brief time around the 4:15 mark, when Lata Mangeshkar joins the chorus with the backup vocalists, you can readily identify her voice from the mix; both buds do an excellent job of distinguishing the subtleties.
Call Quality: A Clear Connection
The LG Tone Free Fit TF7 maintains good mic quality even in bustling settings. It does not actively do noise cancellation on your voice while you speak, but when I tried these buds while walking through traffic, the road noises did not overrun my audio at all, and the receiver could hear me loud and clear without any distractions.
Application: Your Personal Audio Playground
The Tone Free app isn't just a gateway; it's a playground for personalization. Firmware updates, controls adjustment, and user manual access are just the beginning. Enter customizable EQ presets with Meridian audio magic. These presets, while enhancing sound, might not mirror true audio but serve a purpose. For the purists, a simple tweak or all enhancements off is an option.

ANC and Ambient mode controls, multipoint pairing, and auto-play/pause settings are all at your fingertips. Features like Find My Earbuds and low-latency Game Mode enrich the experience.
Battery

The LG Tone Free Fit TF7 boasts impressive battery life. With 10 hours of earbud playback and an extra 20 hours in the charging case. But remember, these numbers are without the ANC. Engage ANC, and earbud playback clocks in at 6 hours, with the case offering 12 hours.
Conclusion: Fitness Meets Melody
In a nutshell, the LG Tone Free Fit TF7 stakes its claim as a robust contender for fitness-focused earphones. While it might not steal the audio crown, it shines brightly in other facets. The amalgamation of ruggedness, app prowess, and solid build quality makes the Tone Free Fit TF7 an alluring choice for fitness enthusiasts craving convenience without sacrificing audio quality. Although, I feel it still is not enough to justify its ₹12,499 price tag.

While audiophiles seeking audio nirvana might glance elsewhere, the LG Tone Free Fit TF7 remains a dependable companion for outdoor escapades, ensuring melodies uplift your outdoor feats.
