Lenovo K80: Asus ZenFone 2 Challenger With 4GB of RAM Goes Official in China

Lenovo on Thursday announced the K80 smartphone with 4GB of RAM. The newly launched handset will directly compete with the Asus ZenFone 2, which also offers a healthy 4GB of RAM.

At first glance, the device looks like just another 5.5-inch handset with 1080 resolution and a plastic build. However, the biggest highlight of the Lenovo K80 is the inclusion of 4GB of RAM inside.

The Lenovo K80 is powered by a 1.8GHz Intel Atom processor (64-bit), and also offers 4G LTE connectivity. Just for the sake of comparison, the Asus ZenFone 2 (4GB) is powered by a 2.3 GHz 64-bit quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 processor. The higher the RAM, the more tasks your device can handle simultaneously without slowing down.

On the camera front, the Lenovo K80 has a 13-MP camera with optical image stabilization (OIS). It is supported by a massive native storage of 128 GB, which is supposed to provide enough space for keeping images and videos.

Other notable specs and features of the handset include 4,000 mAh battery, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi and more. The K80 The K80 is 8.5mm-thin, and comes in various color schemes including black, silver, and red.

Starting next week, the Lenovo K80 will be made available in China for 1,799 CNY or about Rs. 18,364. In other news, Asus has launched the ZenFone 2 in India in four variants. For starters, there are two variants with 2GB of RAM and two variants with 4GB of RAM. The top-end variant with 4GB of RAM and the 64GB of native storage will cost a cool Rs. 23,999.
