However, a popular brand like Samsung is bound to have fake and counterfeit products of it in the market. It can also be difficult to spot the differences between the original and fake charger. The Fake charger also looks like an original one. While the charger works like an original one, it might damage your smartphone. A number of duplicate products in the market can create this problem.

Look at the Logo. The A in the Samsung is often thicker in the fake charger. All the words of the original charger often has the same font thickness.

Look at what is printed on the Charger. If a "Made in China" is printed in the backside of the charger, then it is a duplicate product. Also there is an "A+" on the backside. This indicates that this is a duplicate product.

Look at the pins. The pins are same from top to bottom in the duplicate charger. In the original charger, the Pins are thicker in the lower portion towards the base.

There is also a possibility, that sometimes the USB Charger cable is fake. While the charger is proper. The color of the port in the duplicate charger is darker and it is also a little longer than the original one.
