Amazon Echo Flex With Built-In USB Charger Launched For Rs. 2,999 In India
Amazon has launched yet another IoT product -- the Echo Flex which is a plug-in Echo device for Alexa that can be used to control lights and other smart gadgets. It has a built-in USB-A port that can be used to charge smartphones and other electronics.

Features And Specifications
The Echo Flex supports dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz) and is compatible with 802.11/a/b/g/ standard. The device can be plugged into a standard power outlet with no cables or dongles. The device is also compatible with third-party brands like Philips, SYSKA LED, Oakter, and TP-Link.
It does have a built-in speaker that can dictate Alexa's commands. Additionally, it does support Bluetooth and also has a 3.5mm headphone jack to connect to an external speaker.
The Echo Flex also has several privacy-related features, where there is a physical button to turn off the microphone. Users can also delete their voice recordings via Alexa's privacy settings from the Alexa app. The recently launched feature allows users to delete the voice recording with just a voice command "Alexa, delete what I just said" or "Alexa, delete everything I said today".
"We are happy to introduce Echo Flex for users in India to access Alexa even more conveniently now from any room in the house. Our customers are looking for more options on where they can place Echo devices across their homes. We heard them. With its compact form, Echo Flex can be plugged in directly into an electrical socket to provide all functionalities of an Echo device," Parag Gupta, Head of Amazon Devices said.
Price And Availability
The Amazon Echo Flex will be available for Rs. 2,999 from December 10. The device is currently available for pre-order. As a launch offer, the pre-orders will include a Wipro 9W Smart LED bulb worth Rs. 2,099 for free of cost.
