Audio-Technica launches improved MSR7 Special Edition, release scheduled in October

Audio-Technica has come up with an improved version of MSR7 headphone, the MSR7 Special Edition, while the former was launched in 2014 the latter has been priced at $388(Rs.27000).

    Audio-Technica has launched a special edition MSR7 headphones which now come in a classic navy blue color with gold lining increasing its aesthetic. The MSR7 special edition headphones are an upgraded version of Audio-Technica's eminent headphones that shipped with the same brand name viz. MSR7.

    The MSR7 headphone was launched in late 2014 and was priced at $250(approx. Rs. 16035) in the US. The special edition headphones will, however, cost a lot more. Set for release in October 2017 the MSR7 Special Edition will retail at $388(approx. Rs. 24887) in the US.

    The Japanese acoustics brand has also introduced some technical advancements to the gizmo apart from providing it an elegant design. It inherits some qualities from the prodigal MSR9 that was launched at CES this year.

    MSR7 SE gets 45mm True Motion drivers with a Diamond-like Carbon (DLC) coated diaphragm for better sound quality. Audio-Technica claims the limited edition MSR7SE have new pads that will provide a better bass to the headphones. No doubt the MSR7 launched in 2014 had excellent audio quality, however, the bass on the gear was downsized. THe latest MSR7 SE also has better noise cancellation.

    THe expensive special edition is a wired headphone set and consumers looking for wireless headphones might want to check out the DSR9BT headphones that retail for $549( approx. Rs.35150 ) in the US. The DSR9BT was also unveiled at CES 2017.

    None of the above-mentioned products have debuted in India, however, Audio-Technica products do have a presence in India through Amazon. Several budget earphones and headphones are available on the e-commerce platform that you can explore.
