OnePlus Hub 5G Router Teased; Set to Launch in July 2023

Tuesday's Cloud 11 event witnessed a surprise launch from OnePlus - the OnePlus Hub 5G router. The device will be the company's first router and will be launched in July this year. Besides the OnePlus Hub, the company also announced its 2023 flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 11. The firm also unveiled the OnePlus 11R, OnePlus Pad, OnePlus Buds Pro 2, OnePlus TV 65 Q2 Pro, and the OnePlus Keyboard 81 Pro at the event.

OnePlus Hub 5G Router: Features

OnePlus teased the Hub 5G router at the event, revealing a few key specs. The company promised to share the complete specifications at a later date.

The OnePlus Hub 5G router is set to launch in July 2023 and will feature Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. It will also include support for 5G/4G SIM cards. This will allow you to use a SIM card to enjoy uninterrupted internet services at home. The SIM card feature especially comes handy if you are unable to get a good broadband connection or if the service is temporarily disrupted.

The company revealed that the OnePlus Hub 5G router can form a mesh network by connecting two or more routers, thus enhancing connectivity. The device can also be transformed into a Home Hub with support for Matter protocol. Additionally, the router sports LED indicators for 5G, 4G, and WiFi network activity.

OnePlus has not revealed the price of the OnePlus Hub 5G router. We can expect the brand to share pricing details in the near future.

OnePlus Expanding Its Portfolio With New Devices

At the Cloud 11 event, OnePlus explained its 1+4+X strategy for expanding its portfolio. "'1' represents the flagship smartphone, while '4' signifies supporting ecosystem devices such as TVs, earbuds, watches, and tablets. 'X' represents a whole world of products which connect to the OnePlus ecosystem to build a superior digital life," the company stated. "The launch of these latest products reinforces OnePlus' position as a pioneer in digital devices and technology," the firm added.

OnePlus' new strategy was evident at its latest launch event, which saw the company launch its first-ever tablet, the OnePlus Pad. The brand also debuted its first mechanical keyboard, the OnePlus Keyboard 81 Pro.
