Apple WWDC 2023 is just around the corner. Titled WWDC23, the event will be held in a mostly online format and is being touted as one of the biggest yet.
The highly anticipated Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is scheduled to begin on June 5. Let's check out the biggest announcements Apple is expected to make, and the products the company could launch this week.

Apple WWDC23 Event Livestream: When And Where To Watch?
Apple holds the WWDC conference majorly for developers where it reveals software features and new platforms that will work on Apple devices such as iPhones, MacBook laptops, iPad, and others, via iOS, macOS, and iPadOS respectively.
However, this year, Apple is mixing the developer-focused WWDC with some new hardware. It appears Apple has adopted Google's strategy. The search giant recently held its Google I/O 2023 event, at which, it launched its first foldable smartphone, dubbed the Pixel Fold.
This year's WWDC23 event will be hosted at Apple Park headquarters in Cupertino, California. The keynote is scheduled to commence on June 5th at 10 AM PDT (10:30 PM IST). The keynote is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, June 6, at 1:30 AM IST.
Apple will also offer a live stream of the event, primarily on its official YouTube channel and probably on its other social media accounts. Our readers can click the Play button in the embedded video above to get notified about the event.
Apple Reality Pro Mixed Reality Headset Powered By xrOS
Apple should launch its long-awaited Virtual and Augmented reality headset at this year's developer conference. The Mixed Reality headset is expected to be christened 'Reality Pro'.
Apple AR/VR Reality Pro headset would be powered by Apple's xrOS operating system that's designed and optimized for gaming and productivity. The Reality Pro could be powered by a SoC along the lines of Apple's M2 chipset. It may pack as many as a dozen cameras to detect body movements and even read facial expressions.
Some rumors claim Apple may price the Reality Pro headset at around $3,000 (approx. ₹2.48 lakh). The headset is expected to come with a control knob to switch between Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality.
Apple To Release iOS 17 For iPhone Devices At WWDC23:
The iOS 17 update should make its debut at WWDC 2023. The operating system update is expected to bring several optimizations and a few new features.
A new journalling app, Mood Tracker for the health app, a revamped Control Center, increased functionality for Dynamic Island, and new features for Apple Music are expected in the iOS 17 update.
Apple might even allow sideloading apps on iPhones and iPads. However, this facility might not make it outside the EU.
iPadOS17, macOS17, watchOS 10 And More:
Besides the xrOS and iOS, Apple is expected to announce iPadOS 17, macOS17, tvOS, and watchOS 10. Apple should announce some of the features included in these updates at the WWDC23 event.
Apple may have majorly worked on bug fixes and stability improvements instead of new features. However, a Bloomberg report claims that watchOS 10 could come with a new widget system that would allow users to check notifications without opening the app. Additionally, after the update, some Apple devices could be used as smart displays too.
New MacBook Air Laptops And Desktops With Last Year's M2 Chipset?
Apple may offer the largest-ever MacBook Air with a 15-inch screen. However, it could pack the same M2 chipset and feature the same display technology that was used in last year's 14-inch MacBook Pro.
Some reports suggest Apple is testing two new Mac desktops labeled Mac 14.13 and Mac 14.14. which will feature M2 Ultra and M2 Max chips. These may be branded as the Mac Pro editions.
Apple could also launch a 13-inch MacBook Pro and MacBook Air as well as a 24-inch iMac desktop computer with refreshed hardware.
During the WWDC23 event, developers will be able to connect directly with Apple engineers and experts through one-on-one labs and activities in virtual workspaces on Slack. Developers can seek guidance on building innovative and platform-differentiating apps and games, assured Apple.
