You can keep track of what the people you follow have done on Instagram if you wish to.

You can see what your friends have liked or the comments they have made on posts.

In order to do this, first you have to tap the heart, this will allow you to see the likes and posts on your own posts, but by swiping right, you can see what your friends have been up to.

Invite friends

Your Facebook friends or if you wish, your phone contacts can be invited to Instagram so that you can have more people to share your memories with.

To invite your friends to Instagram, go to your profile, locate the three-dot menu on the top-right side of the screen. Tapping the ‘Invite Friends' will allow you to invite your friends from Facebook or your contact list.

Make Account private

If you don't like the idea of just anyone being able to view your posts, you can improve the privacy of your account. Only those who follow you can see your posts if you make your account private.

If you wish to make your account private, all you have to do is visit your profile and then tap the three-dot menu on the top right. All you have to do is scroll down and turn it on.

Swipe right for Story Mode

After you open the app, all you have to do is swipe right to open up your camera. You can shoot a video or click an image and send it to "Your Story" directly.

Normal, Superzoom, Rewind, Hands-free are a few of the different modes available in camera mode and these can be accessed by scrolling right or left just below the shutter button.

Story privacy

You can control who has access to your stories, you can set who will be able to send you messages.

You can also hide your stories from people if you wish to do so.

Tapping on ‘Settings' on the top left of your camera screen will take you to the option ‘Hide Story From', tapping this will provide you with a list of the people in your feed where you can select who you want to hide your stories from.
