Lately, WhatsApp is in the headlines for some reason or the other. The app has been receiving many new features in the recent times.
WhatsApp is giving a tough competition to the other chat apps due to a whole new bunch of features that it has come up with to enhance the chatting experience.
However, we are aware of a few newly released features for WhatsApp personal chats including changing the font style. Likewise, there are also a few that you should consider for all the group chats you have.
WhatsApp has come up with a few new features to make a group chat more interactive and engaging.
In a group chat, it is often difficult and confusing on who's saying what to whom. However, this issue is now old enough for the WhatsApp users, thanks to the 'mentions' feature that the app has come up with.
As in Facebook, in a group chat, users can now mention their friend's name while replying to avoid any confusion. Just type '@' and you'll see the list of people on the group. Simply select the name that you wish to mention.
Group Mute Option
Earlier, if you remember, you could add only 100 participants in a group, but now WhatsApp is allowing you to add up to 256 people and have a good time!
Share GIF images to Friends
Sharing GIF Images to friends personally is also possible. However, here WhatsApp has the same feature for the groups. You can now send GIF images in a group and share a laugh all together.
Click on the Attach button on top of the chat window to show Whats Tools share menu, then tap on the received message to open Download file popup. Choose the GIF file and send and forwarded it to any group you are a part of.
Save Conversation as a Text File
Like that of the personal chat, now you can simply keep a complete record of the entire group conversation by just opening the group screen>Select Menu option> Click on Email Chat>Send.
Stop Image or Videos from Automatically Saving
In a group chat, like you get too many texts, so is the case for images or videos. In a WhatsApp group chat, you can stop any media file to be downloaded and save automatically on the phone.
Just go to Settings>Chats> And turn off Save Incoming Media, there you go!
