Apple released its watchOS back in April 24, 2015, with the Apple Watch. It is based on the iOS operating system and also has a similar feature to Apple iOS. It is the mobile operating system of the Apple Watch, developed by Apple Inc. It is based on the iOS operating system and has many similar features and it is the only device that runs watchOS. Its API is called WatchKit.

The second version, watchOS 2, included support for native third-party apps and other improvements and was released on September 21, 2015. The third version, watchOS 3, was released on September 13, 2016, and emphasized on better performance and including new watch faces and stock apps. The fourth version, watchOS 4, was released on September 19, 2017. Now some fresh reports are surfacing over the internet that Apple has started releasing the watchOS 4.3 sixth version for the developers to review.

It is being reported that the sixth beta version of the watchOS has arrived just a few days after the fifth beta version of the watchOS was rolled out and is a minor update which focuses majorly on bug fixes. Further, it is also being reported that when the watchOS 4.3 would be released officially it will bring a set of suitable features like the portrait Nightstand mode, new battery charging animation along with the ability to browse music using a connected iPhone's catalogue etc.
When a user installs the properly configured file from the Apple Developer Center the new beta version can also be downloaded through dedicated Apple Watch app on the iPhone by selecting General> Software update.
