One of the most impressive features from the Redmond giant Microsoft in the mobile platform is its own voice assistance Cortana. Few months back, the company has promised to make Cortana available for Android and iOS platform.
Adding credibility to its words, the company has released the Beta version of Cortana on Google Play Store as promised.
In Windows official blog, Susan Hendrich said, "Today, we're pleased to make the beta of the Cortana app available to all Android phone users."
She further added, "With the app, you can manage your hectic lifestyle by setting and getting reminders, searching the web on-the-go, tracking important information such as flight details as well as starting and completing tasks across all of your devices."
As of now, this voice assistant apps is available only in U.S market and will be rolled out globally in the upcoming days.
Initially, the company launched Cortana to rival Apple's Siri and Google Now. Microsoft's Cortana is powered by Bing and it can search your hard-drive, calendar for appointments, contacts in order to better interact with user.
In day-to-day usage, you can ask Cortana to show photos from a specific month, music, and do a number of other tasks. While Cortana is integrated into many apps it can certainly help you in many ways.
