Flipkart Announces Ping: A new Service with In-Built Chat

Indian e-retailer Flipkart, has launched new social network named as Ping. With this service, users can have conversation with others in order to get feedback about the product they are about to buy.

Here users can share image, wishlists and items with your friends. For example, now one user can drag and drop the product, so that they can view or browse at same time. But the catch is that, Ping is available only for the Flipkart users.

To make avail for others, users who have it already have to invite them by simply sending an SMS. This app comes with just 2MB and resembles Facebook messenger chat. Currently, this service is available only for Android and iOS.

The company also claimed that around 50 million of its users are on mobile who spend 59 minutes per month on the app as per a survey by Nielson.
