The latest update to Google Search provides easy access to details such as cricket scores and statistics, nearby restaurants, weather, grocery stores, ATMs and more. The shortcuts those are tappable will be listed beneath the search bar on the Google app for Android. Besides the four frequently used shortcuts on the home screen, users can get to know other useful information by tapping on the relevant shortcuts.

There will be an arrow to the right of the shortcuts such as vacation destinations, booking flight tickets, gas stations, pharmacies and convenience stores. Besides these, the update also provides access to popular games such as Solitaire, Fidget Spinner, Roll a dice, and Tic-tac-toe.

Interestingly, the Google Search app will get a Google Translate shortcut and the Weather shortcut will fetch the detailed forecast for 10 days. In the coming days, Google will add new shortcuts for events and big moments as well.

Lately, Google rolled out an app for Made in India awards program seeking the developers to build apps those are optimized for the Indian market. It encourages the developers to come up with apps those use low memory space, consume less data, have content in local languages and work well even in patchy networks. These apps will be listed under a special section in the Google Play Store.

Last month, Google rolled out an update to Google Search in order to help users to find, promote and attend their favorite events in their respective cities.
