Instagram Edits App Gets New Features Including Keyframes And Voice Enhancements

Instagram introduced Edits, a standalone video editing app, in April this year. It is crafted for content creators aiming to produce top-notch videos directly from their mobile devices. Recently, Instagram has rolled out new features for Edits, enhancing its functionality.

The official Instagram Creators account announced the update with enthusiasm: "You've been asking for Keyframes on Edits and we're so excited to share that it's finally here, alongside some other updates like new additions to the Ideas tab, voice enhancement, and even more text effects."

Keyframes Feature

The introduction of Keyframes is a significant addition. This feature allows users to animate video clips by adjusting their position, rotation, and scale at precise moments. Instagram has also hinted at future enhancements like text, stickers, overlays, and cutouts.

Ideas Tab Enhancements

The Ideas tab within Instagram's Edits is receiving notable updates. Users can now save audio within ideas and leave sticky notes on audio they wish to create with. Additionally, there's a full-screen editor available for sticky notes.

Text Effects Update

A fresh collection of text effects is now part of the update. With over 30 new styles available, creators can choose from playful options such as Fisheye, Arch, Angle, Cube, and Whirl to make their videos stand out.

Voice Enhancement Improvements

Voice enhancement is another key improvement in this update. Users can now apply enhancements to voiceovers to eliminate unwanted background noise. Previously, this feature was only accessible for video clips.
