Mumbai Metro One launches app for commuters to plan travel

Mumbai Metro One Thursday launched its smartphone application that will enable commuters to plan their travel in the mega-polis. The app will also help commuters to recharge their smart cards.

Besides, it will also provide a host of useful services even for commuters who don't have Mumbai Metro One smart cards, the company said in a statement.

"The app is powered by Google Maps and goes one up on the other available navigation or travel planner apps for travelling across the city through some special features like suggestions for Mumbaikars on the best and the fastest route between two points, how to get there with the least number of switches among different modes of transport, or how to avoid having to walk too much in doing so," it said.
