Netflix entry to India could be announced next week at CES
Netflix could launch in India as soon as next week. The Video Streaming service is popular in 40 countries has a vast library of Movies and Television shows. The Hindu Business Line has reported the story about Netflix entering India in January after being launched at CES in Las Vegas.

Netflix is currently available for $8.99 (or Rs. 600) in the US for a monthly subscription. However, subscription costs of Netflix in India are expected to be much lower. Netflix has over 69 million users in 40 countries. As of October 2015, Netflix has over 69 million subscribers.Netflix has partnered with leading film studios to offer Video-on-Demand service. Netflix also has exclusive rights for some TV shows and Movies aired only on its platform.
While Netflix is not officially available in India, Internet users in India use tools that allow them to surpass geo-restrictions in order to use the service. There are already several Video-On-Demand services in India and Netflix will give them competition. While YouTube is free of charge, other Video-on-Demand services offer TV channels, Videos and Movies on a subscription basis.
