WhatsApp improves multi-device feature: Use one account on up to four devices at once
Last year, WhatsApp introduced multi-device support for all users worldwide in order to provide a more seamless messaging experience: your phone serves as the primary device, and you can use up to four other "non-phone" devices to use WhatsApp at the same time. The Meta-owned messaging app is now improving on this front by allowing users to use one WhatsApp account on up to four phones at the same time.
Use One WhatsApp Account on Up to Four Devices at Once
According to WhatsApp's blog post, the feature works in the same way that you would link your "non-phone" devices such as tablets and desktops, or laptops.

With WhatsApp's new feature, each linked phone can now connect to the messaging platform independently. This means that your personal messages, media, and calls are end-to-end encrypted on each device.
Furthermore, if your primary device is inactive for an extended period of time, WhatsApp will automatically log you out of all companion devices to ensure the security of your account.
You can switch between phones without having to sign out and pick up where you left off with your conversations. This means you no longer have to be concerned about losing your chat history when switching devices.
In addition, if you own a small business, additional employees can now respond to customers directly from their phones using the same WhatsApp Business account.
When Will This Update Arrive?
According to WhatsApp, the update has begun rolling out to users worldwide and will be available to everyone in the coming weeks.
WhatsApp Is Cooking Even More Features
WhatsApp is also introducing a new and more convenient way to connect to companion devices. WhatsApp Web users will be able to enter their phone numbers to receive a one-time code that can be used to enable device linking on their phones. This eliminates the need to scan a QR code, making it easier for users to connect their devices.
This feature will be available in the coming weeks as well, so keep an eye on the app's Play Store or App Store listing for any updates.
