WhatsApp Rolls Out New Year Features: Video Call Effects, Animation, Sticker Pack

WhatsApp's latest updates introduce a festive flair to the app, with video call enhancements, animated reactions, and a new year-themed sticker pack. These features are designed to make the holiday season more enjoyable for users.

WhatsApp is one of the popular instant messaging apps with over 500 million active users in India. Users can now spruce up their calls with New Year backgrounds, filters, and effects, adding a touch of celebration to their conversations.

You just need to make a call to any of your contacts through WhatsApp. Then tap on the filter effect icons located at the top-right corner of your screen, where, you'll find the new year effect option.

Additionally, when a user responds to a message with certain party-themed emojis, a delightful animation of confetti bursts forth, making both the sender and receiver's experience more joyous.

WhatsApp has also launched a special New Year's Eve (NYE) sticker pack. This, along with avatar stickers that resonate with the New Year celebration theme, brings more fun and personalization to the messaging experience. These stickers offer users a creative way to express their festive wishes and sentiments.

However, it's important to note that these festive features are only available for a limited time. Users have until January 3, 2025, to enjoy these updates. To ensure access to these new offerings, users must ensure their WhatsApp app is updated to the most recent version.
