Karbonn Mobiles released a couple of tablets of which Smart Tab 3 Blade is the 7 inch offering that runs on Android 4.0 ICS. Karbonn Smart Tab 3 (Blade) has a 7.1 inch capacitive touchscreen display, 1.2GHz processor, 1.3MP front camera, 2,600 mAh Li-ion battery, Wi-Fi b/g/n and 3G through dongle. Being priced similar to the UbiSlate 7Ci at Rs 4,990, the Karbonn tablet is also a notable rival to the new budget tablet.

Bizzbook 1i

Bizzbook 1i is priced at Rs 6,999 similar and has an 8 inch HD Bright View capacitive touchscreen display with 1280 x 768 pixel resolution. Running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, the tablet is powered by a 1.2GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal flash memory, micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB additional storage and 1.3MP front facing camera. Also, the tablet has Wi-Fi, micro USB 2.0 and mini HDMI support.

With advanced specifications as compared to Aakash 2 tablet, Bizzbook offering has the potential to offer a stiff competition to the Datawind tablet.
