Google Nexus 10 Launch Update: Everything We Know So Far
Short Video Reveals New Lock Screen
On Saturday, BriefMobile, the same source that posted a few photos of the purported tablet posted a short video of the same. It is claimed as a short video as it is a 4 second footage, but, it reveals the new lock screen. However, the video is a solid proof for the Nexus 10 tablet and offers a glance at the high resolution 2560 x 1600 display, which was rumored in the past.
The report also continues stating that the back panel of Nexus 10 is built of polycarbonate material and that the entire device is lightweight and slim. It shows the slim profile by posting a photo comparing the thickness of the upcoming Samsung made Nexus tablet with Acer A100.
Analyzing the pictures, Nexus 10 appears to have a curvier design and a thicker screen bezel than the Google Nexus 7 tablet.
Image Leak Confirming NFC and Android 4.2
As mentioned earlier, BriefMobile on Friday posted a few photos of the rumored Samsung Nexus 10 tablet and interestingly, these are the first image leaks of the product.
The report suggests that the Nexus tablet made by the popular Korean OEM of Google uses the latest iteration of the Google's Android OS – Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. As rumored earlier, it is not a new version – Key Lime Pie but an incremental update claims the report.
Nexus 10 Tablet Display
During the first few weeks of this month, a CNET report claimed that Google is prepping a 10.1 inch tablet along with the world's largest smartphone vendor Samsung. Also, an analyst at NPD DisplaySearch, Richard Shim revealed some details of the tablet stating that new device will sport a 10.1 inch display with 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution, which 299 ppi pixel density, which is depicted in the recent video leak.
