Kobian has launched a low cost 7 inch tablet dubbed Mercury mTab 7, which is priced at Rs 6,499. The tablet has 7 inch capacitive touchscreen display with 800 x 480 pixel resolution, 1.2GHz Cortex A8 processor with a Mali 400 GPU, 0.3MP VGA front camera, 4GB internal storage, 512MB RAM and a micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB expandable memory support.

Further, mTab 7 comes packed with connectivity features such as 3G via USB dongle, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, HDMI port and micro USB port. As claimed by Kobian, the tablet has a long battery backup of undisclosed specs.

Again, likewise Wammy Desire, with the such a low price of Rs 6,499, Kobian tablet could be a potential rival to Nexus 7, but, it is based on Android 4.0 ICS, while Nexus 7 is based on Jelly Bean.
