According to a TheMobileIndian report, Victor Shan, president of devices, Huawei India has stated, "We will launch MediaPad 7 Lite in the first week of November for our Indian consumers at an affordable price of Rs 14,000. In the coming months Huawei will be launching more and more smartphones in the sub Rs 10,000 segment under the Y series of smartphones as we feel there is a lot of demand for affordable smartphones in the country."

Biggest Threat To iBall iSlide i9702?
iBall recently released a 9.7 inch tablet dubbed as iSlide i9702 with Android ICS OS, IPS display and dual core processors. Already, budget Android tablet shipments are on the rise in the Indian market as they are priced pretty low.
Moreover, as these tablets are coming up with outstanding specifications like IPS display, which is used in high end smartphones, there are more chances for them to taste success.
While Huawei MediaPad 7 Lite with a similar price tag as the iBall offering also comes with Android ICS and IPS display technology, there are more chances for it to threaten the iBall iSlide i9702.
However, Huawei tablet lacks the dual core processor which is present in the iBall product and also it comes with a 7 inch display while the latter has a 9.7 inch display.
Anyways, at the end it is the decision of the consumers based on their requirements.
