Intel Launches Arc Pro A60 Desktop GPU and Arc Pro A60M Mobile GPU
Intel has added two new Arc Alchemist processors to the Intel Arc Pro A lineup of GPUs. The two new members include the Arc Pro A60 desktop GPU and the Arc Pro A60M mobile GPU. They are touted to offer a significant upgrade over their predecessors, the Arc Pro A40 and A50 GPUs.
Intel Arc Pro A60, A60M Features
The Intel Arc Pro A60 features 16 Xe Cores, 16 ray tracing units, and 12GB of GDDR6 memory. The GPU comes with 16 Gen 4.0 PCIe lanes, 384 Gbps graphics memory bandwidth, and 256 Intel XMX engines. The A60 has a peak power consumption of 130W.

Meanwhile, the Intel Arc Pro A60M features 16 Xe Cores, 16 ray tracing units, and 8GB of GDDR6 memory. The GPU comes with 16 Gen 4.0 PCIe lanes, 256 Gbps graphics memory bandwidth, and 256 Intel XMX engines. The A60M has a peak power consumption of 95W.
Compared to the older Intel Arc Pro GPUs, the Intel Arc Pro A60 and A60M feature twice the number of PCIe lanes, twice the number of ray tracing units, double the memory bandwidth, and twice the Intel XMX engines.
Intel adds that both GPUs are equipped with support for full media encode and decode, which means that they can be used for heavy-duty media processing, computer-aided design and modeling (CAD/CAM), and AI tasks.
According to Intel, its workstation GPUs are apt for entertainment and media-based tools, with its ability to run apps such as Blender. Thanks to the Intel oneAPI Rendering Toolkit, the GPU is also capable of ray tracing.
Intel Arc Pro A60, A60M Availability
The Intel Arc Pro A60 GPU can be purchased from Intel authorized stores in the next few weeks. Meanwhile, the Intel Arc Pro A60M GPU will take a few months to reach OEM partners.
Although Intel did not reveal the pricing of either cards, a report suggests that the Intel Arc Pro A60 desktop GPU could be priced at $175, which appears to be a great price for a professional-grade GPU.
