PS5 Games Coming in the Next 6 Months: From Halo: Campaign Evolved to GTA 6

PlayStation just confirmed its second half lineup for 2026, and there's a lot to talk about. Halo is coming to PlayStation for the first time in the franchise's history. Marvel's Wolverine is Insomniac's biggest release since Spider-Man 2. Blood of Dawnwalker is the debut from The Witcher 3's director. Silent Hill is back. And GTA 6 lands in November.

PS5 Games Coming in the Next 6 Months

Here's every confirmed PS5 game from July to December.

July 2026

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced — July 9

Thirteen years after the original, Ubisoft Singapore has rebuilt Black Flag from the ground up on the latest Anvil engine. This isn't a remaster. The remake contains zero code from the 2013 game. It's set in the Caribbean during the Golden Age of Piracy between 1715 and 1722, with Edward Kenway returning as the lead.

What's new: expanded story arcs for Blackbeard and Stede Bonnet, three new officers joining the main narrative, reworked combat that's faster and more action-oriented, a dynamic weather system, ray-traced lighting, and no loading screens when entering major cities. If Black Flag is one of your all-time favourites, this is worth paying attention to.

Palworld 1.0 — July 10

Palworld already made history as one of the fastest-selling games ever when it launched in early access. July 10 marks the full 1.0 release, coming alongside a massive content update. If you tried it early and fell off, this is the complete version. If you've been waiting for 1.0 to jump in, your wait is over.

Halo: Campaign Evolved — July 23

Halo: Campaign Evolved releasing on PS5 marks the first time in the franchise's entire history that a Halo title has landed on a competitor's console. It's a full remake of the original Halo: Combat Evolved campaign, updated for modern hardware and featuring three brand new missions that weren't in the original game.

PS5 Games Coming in the Next 6 Months

Whether you're a returning fan or someone experiencing it for the first time on PlayStation, this is one of the more historically significant game releases of the year regardless of how it turns out.

August 2026

Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls — August 6

Developed by Arc System Works and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls is a PS5 and PC exclusive fighting game built around a tag team system.

Matches start with a single fighter and an assist character, gradually unlocking a full four-character lineup through mid-match conditions like damage accumulation and Wall Breaks that transition fights across multiple arenas, culminating in 4v4 gameplay. A proper Marvel fighter from the studio behind Dragon Ball FighterZ is a big deal.

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2, Star Wars: Zero Company, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy — August 27

Three major releases on the same day. Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 finally brings more of Kojima's back catalogue to modern hardware. Star Wars: Zero Company is a strategy RPG set in the Star Wars universe. And Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy continues one of the more underrated narrative series of recent years.

September 2026

September is the most loaded month of the second half by a wide margin.

The Blood of Dawnwalker — September 3

Developed by Rebel Wolves, a studio founded by The Witcher 3 director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, The Blood of Dawnwalker is a vampire-themed dark fantasy action RPG set in 14th-century medieval Southeast Europe. You play as Coen, a young man turned into a Dawnwalker, forever between the world of day and the realm of night, fighting to save your family. Daytime gameplay focuses on swordplay with directional blocking, while vampiric powers open up as darkness falls.

There's also a 30-day in-game time mechanic where every quest moves the clock forward, forcing meaningful choices about who to help and who to leave behind. One of the most interesting new IPs of the year.

Marvel's Wolverine — September 15

Developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, Marvel's Wolverine is a standalone entry in the Marvel's Spider-Man universe, telling an original self-contained story. The game follows James "Logan" Howlett, voiced by Liam McIntyre, a centuries-old mutant with retractable claws and a healing factor who is grafted with an indestructible adamantium alloy following intense experimentation.

Gameplay revealed at State of Play showed brutal melee combat, Jean Grey, and the Reavers as antagonists. This is Sony's biggest first-party exclusive of the year.

Control Resonant and Silent Hill: Townfall — September 24

Two horror-adjacent games on the same day. Control Resonant puts you in the role of Dylan Faden in an action-RPG set in a warped Manhattan, following the events of 2019's Control. Silent Hill: Townfall is a new self-contained first-person horror game in the Silent Hill series set in Scotland in 1996. Both are worth having on your radar.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword — September 25

Onimusha returns with Miyamoto Musashi as the new protagonist. The series has been dormant for years, and this one has been generating real excitement since it was shown at State of Play.

October 2026

October is almost as stacked as September and equally dangerous for your wallet.

Rayman Legends Retold opens on October 1, switching from 2D to 3D while keeping the fast-paced platforming intact. Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve arrives on October 2. Star Wars: Galactic Racer drops October 6, followed by Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival on October 8 and Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen on October 9.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 arrives October 23, and Phantom Blade Zero closes the month on October 29. Between Dragon's Dogma, CoD, and Phantom Blade, October asks a lot of PS5 owners who are also saving for GTA 6 the following month.

November 2026

Grand Theft Auto VI — November 19

Grand Theft Auto 6 launches on November 19 for PS5 and Xbox Series X and Series S. The game is set in a modern-day Vice City with Jason and Lucia as co-protagonists. Everything else in November is essentially clearing the runway for this. Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered drops November 3 for those who want something to play before the big one arrives.

December 2026

December has one confirmed PS5 release so far: Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World on December 3. After the chaos of September through November, a quieter month to close out the year is probably for the best.
