Google Stadia Initial Reviews Aren’t Looking Good; Latency Is The Prime Cause
Google Stadia is finally available for users after months of official announcement with a starting price of $9.99 per month. Though we didn't get a chance to test it out (not available in India), earlier reports from various sources suggest that latency could be the biggest issue of Google's ambitious gaming project.
High-Speed Internet Is A Must
Google has mentioned that Stadia requires at least 10Mbps internet speed to get a smoother 720p gameplay and the company suggests to have at least 30Mbps to play games at 4K resolution.
Several early reports suggest that users experienced lags while playing AAA titles. Even with high-speed internet, the games reportedly laggy at times. This is the most common issue that has been noticed on various reports.

Versatility In Gaming
One of the main advantages of Google Stadia over typical gaming is the fact that the service from Google is highly versatile. You can play a game like Red Dead Redemption 2 on a Chromebook and take it from there to a smartphone like the Pixel 3a.
In a typical gaming situation, a user has to spend a lot of money to equip high-end hardware like CPU, GPU, Monitor, or just a gaming console that gets obsolete in just a few years. On top of that, one has to invest in games as well.
In this scenario, there is no major investment and all it requires is a high-speed internet connection plus the monthly subscription charges. As of now, there are 22 games available for playing which are included in the Stadia Pro subscription.
Is India Ready For Google Stadia?
One of the possible reasons why the service is not available in India is due to the limited internet infrastructure. Google Stadia could be the gateway for next-generation gamers. The service might get better over time and even we are eagerly waiting on how Google will fix the latency issue.
