Xbox Series S Black colour variant announced with 1TB of storage
Microsoft showcased a new version of the Xbox Series S at its recent Xbox Games Showcase event. To recall, the Xbox Series S was unveiled back in 2020 as a less powerful version of the Xbox Series X, targeted towards 1440p gaming at 60fps.
The Xbox Series S was unveiled in a new paint job with more storage. At the event, Microsoft revealed a version of the Xbox Series Sin a Carbon Black colour option. Moreover, the new model will come with 1TB of storage as opposed to the original 512GB variant.

Xbox Series S Black (Price, Availability)
The new Xbox Series S price will be set at $349 (roughly Rs 28,850). The Xbox Series S in black is already up for pre-order and will start shipping from September 1. The original Xbox Series S model with 512GB of storage costs $299 (roughly Rs 24,650) in the US.
Moreover, the Xbox Series X was originally priced at $499 in the US or 49,990 in India. Microsoft has yet to announce the pricing of the new Xbox Series S in Carbon Black in India, although we expect it to cost the same as the digital version of the PlayStation 5, which is Rs 39,990.
Xbox Series S 1TB Version
In a blog post, Xbox Senior Marketing Manager Bree Adams said; "The carbon black colour is the same sleek, modern matte finish as the Xbox Series X and Xbox Wireless Controller." It features the same next-gen speed and performance of the original Series S but doubles the storage to download more games to your console.
With the aim at 1440p gaming at 60fps, the Xbox Series S is an excellent substitute for the bigger Xbox Series X. It comes with an 8-core AMD CPU based on Zen 2 architecture and an AMD RDNA 2 GPU. It also shares a lot of the same features with the Xbox Series X, including hardware accelerated real-time ray tracing support, a variable (refresh rate up to 120Hz), Quick Resume, ultra-low latency, and Smart Delivery.
