Apple TV+ App Spotted On Sony Android TV Ahead Of Launch

Apple TV+, the upcoming streaming service, is all set for launch on 1 November. When Apple first announced the Apple TV+ streaming service, the only way to access it would be through the Apple TV app. Now, the app is being spotted on selected Sony smart TVs, ahead of the launch.

The Apple TV+ app is preinstalled on Apple devices. Apple had also announced it was working with Samsung and Vizio smart TVs to run the Apple TV+ streaming service. The latest update of the app spotted on Sony smart TVs comes right after Amazon updated its Fire Stick. The update was first spotted by 9to5 Mac, which states the Apple TV+ app was spotted after a firmware update.

The Apple TV+ spotted on Sony smart TVs are those which were recently launched. These are the Sony TVs that are compatible with Apple AirPlay 2 technology. For instance, Sony's Z9G TV series, A9G TV series, X950G series, and others.

A few days ago, an update was rolled out on the Amazon Fire TV platform, which received the Apple TV+ app. Now, it can be accessed on the 2nd Gen Fire TV Stick and the Fire TV Stick 4K. Apple's streaming service can also be accessed from the compatible Fire TV Stick models as well.

The Apple TV+ service omes in direct competition with already established streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and more. Moreover, upcoming streaming apps like Disney+, HBO Max, and others will also add to the competition in the aggressive streaming wars.

The Apple TV+ will also include original content. Content like The Morning Show, See, and others have been curated for Apple TV+ exclusively and cast celebrities like Jennifer Anniston, Jason Momoa, and others. With the Apple TV app, users can also access the movies purchased on iTunes, apart from the streaming shows.

At the same time, Apple is also pushing the Apple Arcade, a new subscription-based gaming platform that is believed to have more than 70 exclusive games. The Apple Arcade is also said to come without ads or in-app purchases.
