How to Remove Your Number from Truecaller?

Truecaller is a Global Collaborative Phone directory that allows you to know who is calling you.This helps you to know who is calling you and it also helps you to stay away from pesky callers as well as from spammers.However, being a global collaborative directory every user has his number listed on Truecaller.

Truecaller often even lists Landline number in addition to Mobile Numbers.It also displays location of the landline number at times. This can lead to a stranger knowing about the your location which you don't want just in case you use landline. Therefore, unlisting your number from the service is a great way to deal with it.However if you want to delete your number from Truecaller then you can do it with these steps.

Open the app

Open the Truecaller App

Open the app > tap the People icon in the upper left corner > Settings > About > Deactivate account
The process is pretty much the same for iOS and Windows devices as well.

Incase you want to unlist your number, Click on the Truecaller Unlisting page on the Truecaller website from any Desktop or Mobile.


Enter Mobile

Enter your Phone Number

Key in your Mobile Number with your Country code.If you have a landline number that too can be deleted from Truecaller. However, a mobile number entered without Country code or Area code will not be accepted by Truecaller.

Give Reasons

Reason for Delisting

True Caller has stated some common reasons why you do not want your number to be listed on TrueCaller. If you have a different reason, you can enter the reason in the box next to "Other"

Get Verified

Type the Verification Code

Truecaller provides a Verification code at the end. After typing the Verification Code, Click on Unlist button. It can take up to 24 hours for your number to be delisted from the website.
