How to Boost Your Internet Speed in BSNL BB249 Plan by Changing DNS Settings
BSNL, with no competition, is the India's leading broadband network and the state-telecom country is introducing too many affordable plans these days such as the BB249.
However, these plans come with some limitations as well like speed cap issues after a certain amount of data usage. For the BB249 plan, the speed offered will be 2 Mbps for the first 2GB of data, then the speed decreases to 1 Mbps.

But, there are several users who are reporting online that they are not even receiving 60kbps speeds which are underwhelming. There is a trick with which you can increase your BSNL BB249 speed to some extent. Follow the below steps carefully.
Step 1: Head over to network settings
The first step to begin the process is by heading over to the network settings of your PC/Desktop.
Step 2: Select the TCP IPV4
After visiting the network settings, now select TCP IPV4 from the list
Step 3: Set the following DNS Settings
Now, you need to change the DNS settings as follows.
Preferred DNS Settings : 8.8.8.8
Alternate DNS : 8.8.4.4
Step 4: Clear browser cache and reboot your machine
Once after you're done with changing the DNS settings, save them and clear your browser cache and reboot your system once. Now, you can observe that your speed with be increased a bit.
