Microsoft Brings DALL-E AI Image Generator To All Edge Web Browser Users In Sidebar
Microsoft has been integrating Generative AI platforms, such as ChatGPT, into its products and services quite steadily. In addition to the text-based chatbot, Microsoft now grants all Edge web browser users access to DALL-E, a powerful AI-based Image Generator.
Microsoft had indicated that its Edge web browser for desktop PCs would soon offer access to DALL-E image generation tech. The platform is already a part of the Microsoft Bing AI chatbot, but now, DALL-E will be able to serve a much wider audience.

Microsoft Gradually Rolling Out Access To DALL-E Image Generator AI Within Edge Browser
Microsoft has offered a new "Image Creator" tool within its Edge web browser. It will reside on the sidebar of the web browser, which currently offers multiple tools such as Bing Search, Shopping, Games, Microsoft 365 and Outlook for the web, and Drop, among others.
In a blog post announcing the new feature for the Edge web browser, Microsoft claimed it is a way to create "very specific" visuals. Users can request DALL-E for images when working on social media posts, presentations, and documents.
However, this isn't a significant development. Users have been able to use Generative AI to create detailed and expressive images in a variety of ways before. Users could use OpenAI's DALL-E, Microsoft's Bing image creator site, the built-in image generator in Bing Chat, or one of the many other image generators.
However, Microsoft has now put DALL-E right in Edge's sidebar. This makes it a lot easier to ask an AI to generate some pictures.
How To Install And Use DALL-E Generative AI Image Generator In Microsoft Edge Web Browser?
Microsoft hasn't forced the feature into the Edge web browser. Users can add DALL-E to the browser manually. To do so, open the sidebar (denoted by the Bing symbol), click the "+" button, then toggle the switch next to Image Creator.
Microsoft hasn't indicated any daily limits. In other words, users may be able to generate as many images as they want. However, these Generative AI platforms are heavy on the cloud computing backend. Hence, some users may experience delays, while others may be denied access temporarily to ease congestion.
Apart from DALL-E, Microsoft is also rolling out "Drop". The new feature lets users send files and other content to themselves, creating a personal notebook that syncs across devices.
