Airtel Deploys 500 Wi-Fi Zones At Hospitals, Airports, Colleges, Parks; All You Need To Know
Both Airtel and Reliance Jio have many prepaid plans under their belts. However, when it comes to benefits, Airtel ships attractive plans than the latter. In fact, the company has recently deployed many Airtel Wi-Fi hotspots so the subscribers can access high-speed internet. These Wi-Fi hotspots are available at parks, airports, colleges, and other public places. But where exactly are these Wi-Fi zones? Here are the details.
Airtel Wi-Fi Zone: Availability And Benefits
To help its prepaid users, Airtel is going to deploy 500 Wi-Fi zones in tier 1 cities like Hyderabad, Pune, Bengaluru, and Delhi. These Wi-Fi zones will be available at all public places such as hospitals, airports, colleges, and parks. However, to use these hotspots, Airtel prepaid customers have to download the Airtel Thanks app, on their phones. Besides, the company is providing 20GB data to its customers, reports TelecomTalk. Notably, this service is only available for prepaid users, and there is no information when this service will be available for postpaid users.
How To Use Airtel Wi-Fi Services
Step 1: Firstly, you need to be in the zone of the hotspot. Then, you have to see the name of the network in your settings.
Step 2: After that, you have to open your Airtel Thanks application on your phone.
Step 3: Then you have to tap on the My Wi-Fi tile inside the Airtel thanks application. After that, you will be connected to the internet.
In addition, there are other steps where users can opt for @Free Airtel Wi-Fi SSID directly via their settings. Then there will be a login page and you have to tap on a user button, Then you will receive an OTP, and after entering that OTP you will get access to the internet.
Meanwhile, Airtel is also planning to start its Voice Over Wi-Fi service in December in the country. This service will help Airtel provide a good network indoors. Apart from that, the company has introduced new plans for its prepaid customers.
