Apple Increases Prices for iCloud+ in the UK and Other Regions

In recent news, Apple has implemented price hikes for iCloud storage in the United Kingdom and several other regions. This change has led to an approximately 25% increase in the monthly cost of iCloud storage in the UK. Similar price adjustments have been observed in specific global markets, while pricing remains unchanged in India, the US, Australia, and Canada.

Adjustments to iCloud Storage Pricing in the UK

Previously, Apple offered three tiers of iCloud storage pricing in the UK. Users could avail 50 GB of storage for £0.79 per month, 200 GB for £2.49 per month, and 2 TB for £6.99 per month.

However, Apple has now adjusted the prices to £0.99 per month for 50 GB, £2.99 per month for 200 GB, and £8.99 per month for 2 TB.

Focus on iCloud+ and Storage Capabilities

iCloud+ is Apple's enhanced cloud storage service that provides users with storage quotas to back up their photos, documents, and other files securely. In addition to the storage capabilities, iCloud+ offers additional features such as Private Relay and HomeKit Secure Video access.

Impact on Apple One Bundle

It's important to note that iCloud storage is also included in the Apple One bundle. The Apple One bundle combines services such as iCloud+, tv+, Music, Arcade, and, at the highest tier, Fitness+, and News+.

However, despite the increase in iCloud storage prices, the prices for Apple One have not changed. This means that subscribers to the Apple One bundle will not experience any immediate impact on the pricing of their subscription due to the price hikes in iCloud storage.
