Apple Store Dominates Indian Electronics Market with 22-25 Crore Rupees Monthly Sales
According to a report from The Economic Times (ET), Apple's newly opened stores in Delhi and Mumbai have achieved monthly sales exceeding Rs 22-25 crore each.
This remarkable figure is approximately twice the sales generated by other electronics stores in the country during non-Diwali periods, solidifying Apple's position as the leading electronics retailer in terms of revenue in the country.

Impressive Sales Figures
The sales figures achieved by Apple's stores in Delhi and Mumbai are nothing short of remarkable. On its first day of operation, the Mumbai store reported sales exceeding Rs 10 crore. This staggering amount surpassed the monthly sales of some of the largest local electronics stores by a margin of around Rs 2-3 crore, as stated in the ET report. Such an extraordinary performance immediately captured the attention of industry insiders.
Popularity and Demand for Apple Devices
The success of Apple's stores in Delhi and Mumbai can be attributed to the enduring popularity and demand for Apple devices. Despite the higher prices of Apple products compared to their competitors, Indian consumers continue to show unwavering interest in Apple's offerings.
Even during the peak of the festive season, when prominent electronic stores in India witness increased sales, they can only achieve sales figures ranging from Rs 3-5 crore at best. This stark contrast clearly demonstrates the strong brand loyalty and desirability of Apple devices.
Revenue Generation Per Square Foot
When analyzing the revenue generation per square foot, the store located in Saket, New Delhi, emerges as a standout performer. Although it occupies a space of over 10,000 square feet, which is substantial in its own right, it is still less than half the size of the BKC store in Mumbai, measuring 22,000 square feet.
However, despite the size difference, both stores have managed to generate similar revenues, as reported by ET. Additionally, the monthly rent for the Mumbai store in the Bandra Kurla Complex is estimated at Rs 42 lakh, while the rent for the Saket store in Delhi is Rs 40 lakh.
Potential for Setting New Sales Records
Experts in the industry foresee the two Apple stores in Delhi and Mumbai setting new sales records in the near future. One of the key factors contributing to this potential is the higher average selling price (ASP) of Apple products. The premium pricing of Apple devices leads to increased revenue per unit sold, further boosting the overall sales figures of the stores.
Furthermore, the dedicated following of the Apple brand ensures that both stores remain crowded almost every day, resulting in a continuous stream of sales. These impressive sales numbers have surpassed the company's initial estimates and reaffirmed Apple's position as a dominant force in the Indian market.
