Jio Fiber Effect: BSNL Launches Triple Play Broadband Plans, Partners With Cable TV Operators
Taking on Reliance JioFiber, BSNL has announced the launch of 10 Triple- Play broadband plans. The company has partnered with Sri Devi Television (SDV) to offer users with triple-play plans. Under these plans, users will get cable TV, broadband, and landline service.
According to the TelecomTalk report, all new plans are launched under Bharat Fibre broadband plans, but non-Bharat Fibre users can buy three plans from non-Bharat Fibre plans. However, the user needs to Rs. 243 extra (non-Bharat Fiber plans), if they want a cable TV. Here is a look at the BSNL Triple-Play broadband plans.
BSNL Triple-Play Broadband Plans: Detailed
These 10 plans include Fibro Combo ULD 645 CS95, Fibro Combo ULD CS 96, Fibro Combo ULD 2795 CS20, Rs. 849, Rs. 1,277, Rs. 2,499, Rs. 4,499, Rs. 5,999, Rs. 9,999, and Rs. 16,999. SDV has announced the launch of seven cable TV plans including DS Pack 2 at Rs 243, SDS Pack 2 Plus for Rs. 333, SDS HD Pack at Rs. 333, SDS HD Pack Plus for Rs. 333, SDS Pack 4 at Rs. 351, SDS Pack 5 for Rs. 315, and SDS Pack 6 is priced at Rs 360.
However, there is a catch. The basic plan is priced at Rs. 645 and the SDS Pack 2 from cable TV operator are available for Rs.243. This includes 18 percent GST as well. So customers have to pay Rs 1,092 per month. There is no doubt that BSNL is offering three services under these Triple-Play plans. But these newly launched plans are not affordable as compared to Jio Fiber's plans. Besides, these plans are only available in Vishakapatnam.
On the other hand, Jio Fiber's plans are available in almost all circles, and its basic plan is priced at Rs. 699, where Jio is offering 100GB data with 50 GB extra data at 100Mbps speeds. It ships free calls, device security up to five devices worth Rs. 999, access to JioCinema, and JioSaavn for three months. So, we believe that people will go for Reliance Jio Fiber's plans.
