Lenovo Ideapad S340 Packs Right Amount Of I/O That Modern Laptops Should Have
We recently reviewed the Lenovo IdeaPad S340 powered by the AMD Ryzen 5 3500U and found it to be a good laptop for normal day-to-day use. One of the major highlights of the machine is the fact that it is thin and light with a display featuring narrow bezels.
Though it has a compact form-factor, the company has not skimped on any of the ports or I/O unlike some of the modern notebooks that just carry USB Type-C ports and require dongles to connect any of the accessories like SD card, pen drive, and even hard disks.
What's So Special About The Lenovo IdeaPad S340?
The Lenovo IdeaPad has a proprietary charging port on the left side that can quickly recharge the battery from zero to 100 percent in less than two hours. Besides, there is a full-sized HDMI Port and an ss USB Type-C port for connecting modern peripherals like smartphone chargers, SSDs, and type-C headphones.
The ss logo beside the USB Type-C port stands for SuperSpeed, offering a maximum data transfer rate of 20Gbits/s with supported devices. The laptop also has an old-school 3.5mm headphone jack.
On the right side of the laptop, it has dual USB-A ports with support for SuperSpeed data transfer. One of these ports also supports fast charging (which can be used to refuel smartphones and accessories on the go).
Moreover, the laptop has a full-sized SD card slot that can read memory cards from cameras without any additional hardware or adapter.
Best But Not Perfect
Like any other electronic device, the Lenovo IdeaPad S340 has the best set of I/O selection. However, it is definitely not perfect as the USB Type-C port is just used for data transmission and cannot be used as a Thunderbolt port.
If you are in the market, looking for a laptop with a good amount of ports and is also not that bulky, then the Lenovo IdeaPad S340 is definitely one of the best 14-inch laptops to go for. Check out our full review of this laptop to learn about its performance aspect.
