Samsung Galaxy J3 (2018) clears Bluetooth certification tipping imminent launch
Samsung Galaxy J3 (2018) could be unveiled soon as it has cleared one of the necessary certifications.
Samsung Galaxy J3 (2018) has been surfacing on rumors and leaks for quite some time. We have already come across leaked benchmark listings and trademark filings of the Galaxy J3 (2018) tipping that the smartphone is in the making. Now, we have concrete information regarding its existence and it looks like the smartphone could be launched soon.
Samsung Galaxy J3 (2018) has reportedly cleared the Bluetooth certification, hinting at an imminent launch. The smartphone, which had appeared on several regulatory databases of late has now received the Bluetooth certification. According to a report by PhoneArena, this smartphone is said to be launched across the global markets but under different names such as Samsung Galaxy J3 Express Prime, Galaxy Amp Prime 3, Galaxy J3 Emerge and Galaxy J3 Prime 2 for carriers such as AT&T, Cricket, Sprint and T-Mobile in the US.
The Galaxy J series comprises of entry-level and mid-range smartphones and the upcoming Galaxy J3 (2018) is no exception. From the existing reports, we know that Samsung is also working on other J series phones such as Galaxy J7, Galaxy J8 and J8 Plus.
Lately, a Galaxy J3 (2018) variant with the model number Galaxy J3 Orbit was spotted in a trademark filing by Samsung at the USPTO (US Patent and Trademark Office). Even another trademark filing for Galaxy J7 Crown was spotted along with the Galaxy J3 Orbit and these could the names of the Galaxy J7 and J3 smartphones in other markets.
From the previous benchmark listings, the Galaxy J3 (2018) is said to arrive with a 5-inch HD 720p display and a 1.5GHz octa-core Exynos 7870 processor paired with 2GB or 3GB RAM and 16GB storage capacity. The smartphone is likely to be announced with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. While none of the other details about the Samsung Galaxy J3 (2018) are known for now, we can expect it to be priced in the affordable market segment as it is an entry-level smartphone.
