MacBook Neo 2 Launch Timeline and Key Specs Tipped: Touchscreen Display, A19 Pro Chip Expected

The MacBook Neo recently made its debut as the company's most affordable laptop to date. Now, it seems Apple has already started working on the next-generation model, dubbed the Neo 2. While there is no official word regarding this yet, the latest information has revealed a few details along with the launch timeline of the upcoming MacBook Neo 2.

MacBook Neo 2 Launch Timeline Tipped

According to the latest report by MacRumors (citing analyst Ming-Chi Kuo), Apple's second-generation MacBook Neo will launch in 2027. The report further stated that the Neo 2 will feature a touchscreen display. Meanwhile, Apple's first touchscreen MacBook Pro is also expected to debut by the end of this year.

The device is reportedly set to incorporate a touch panel using on-cell touch technology, which integrates the touch sensors directly into the top layer of the display panel. Following the launch of the MacBook Pro and the adoption of touch support in macOS 27, other MacBook models are also expected to follow the same in the future.

Coming to the MacBook Neo 2, the device is also tipped to be powered by the A19 Pro chip, which powers the iPhone 17 Pro and the Pro Max models. Moreover, the Neo 2 is expected to come with 12GB of RAM, up from 8GB on the first-gen Neo.

Apple's latest Neo model is priced at Rs 69,900 in India. Given a few upgrades, we expect the next-gen model could be priced slightly higher. However, it's too early to comment on this. Stay tuned with us for more information surrounding the MacBook Neo 2.
