However, later on, the price will be changed to Rs. 999 per year, which is far better than the Amazon US's Prime pricing of $99 per year.
Furthermore, the launch of Amazon Prime Video was but delayed due to some issues in the country. However, a new report from Mashable states that the company is bringing the much-awaited Prime Video feature to India in coming days.
The report also tells that Amazon Prime Video will also be priced similar to the Amazon Prime, which means that users will be able access free video services for just Rs. 42 per month. Same as the case with Amazon Prime, the overall price will be changed to Rs. 999 per year.
Amazon India's website also shows that the service as coming soon. So, if the rumor believes to be true, Amazon Prime Video will be a game changer in India's video streaming services.
At the start of this year, Netflix also entered Indian market with the prices starting at Rs. 500 and goes up to Rs. 800 per month. Also, the Indian Hotstar costs Rs. 1,200 per month for premium services. So, if Amazon launches the Prime video service at the leaked prices, then it will be surely a game changer in Indian market.
However, it is worth noticing that Amazon Prime Video is way behind Netflix in terms of video catalog and content. For this, Amazon India recently tied up with Dharma Productions to produce all the Bollywood movies.
