Moto X, the flagship phone from the house of Motorola, is getting lot attention - Thanks to Eric Schmidt. The handset is yet to be announced, but Google executive Chairman was spotted flaunting Moto X, during an event. Clearly, the phone was visible and it made our team more excited. Now multiple reports suggest that Google - Motorola jewel is coming sometime in the first week of August.
Going by the images, the Moto X is said to have a 4.7-inch 720p HD display, 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. It will be a mid -range device. Google has already sactioned $500 million marketing and advertising. In terms of hardware quality, Motorola never compromise on the build quality.
We would definitely expect a better looking handset. A closer look at the device (see above image), shows that Moto X comes is made of rubbery plastic like material. There is a camera on the back with unknown sensor along with LED Flash.
There is possibility to see a 10-mega pixel camera sensor with advance imaging optics. Surely, Nokia's 41-mega pixel sensor phone is far above than soon to be announced Moto X. So, it would be better to compare soon to be announced Moto X with another forthcoming handset - the iPhone 5S.
Apple is also prepping a camera centered iPhone with a 12-mega pixel shooter on the back. Leaks proved that the Cupertino-based tech titan has completely changed camera optics used in the iPhone 5S. Is Google prepping to crush iPhone 5S with Moto X? Only time will tell.
Earlier this month, a Google executive expressed his opinion about great camera phones. The Nexus 4, a handset made in association with Google, lacked fantastic camera. Vic Gundotra, Google's senior vice president of engineering, once posted on his Google + account "We are committed to making Nexus phones insanely great cameras. Just you wait and see."
If Google is serious about superior imaging technology then it is not surprising to see Moto X with "Wow" camera. The street is abuzz with rumors around Sony's Honami i 1 phone with 20-mega pixel camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and more. The South Korean giant had already launched Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom with 16-mega pixel camera phone with front mounted ring. Stay tuned to GizBot.
