5 Advantages of Qualcomm’s X50 5G Wireless Modem
Brace yourselves for the 5G technology, something which is 100 times faster than the currently existing 4G tech for its going to be public sooner than you’ve anticipated.
Qualcomm, in addition to the new Snapdragon 653, 626, and 427 chipsets, also unveiled the Snapdragon X50 5G modem at its 4G/5G Summit held in Hong Kong.
It is noteworthy to mention that the X50 is the first of its kind chipset, which means it's the world's first chipset ever to support 5G tech and is claimed to offer unprecedented wireless speeds.

The new 5G wireless modem is reckoned to be 100 times faster than the existing wireless technology. If the company's claims are to be believed true, the X50 5G modem is capable of supporting unprecedented download speeds of up to 5Gbps. Click Here for New Android Smartphones Best Online Deals Speaking of the never-seen-before download speeds, the company is able to achieve this feat by using the very high frequency spectrum which the company calls as millimetre waves (or simply mmWave). In company's own words " these breathtaking speeds are achieved by utilizing very wide bandwidths available in the 28 GHz millimeter wave (mmWave) band combined with advanced signal processing technologies." Unlike the existing technology, these waves can carry and transfer large amounts of data (the numbers speak for itself). Additionally, the delay time is very minimal which not to mention is a very important aspect. However, there appears to be a catch. These signals can travel only shorter distances and apparently have a difficulty passing through walls which makes the whole designing process thorny. It is likely that smartphones released in the first quarter of 2018 (before the commencement of 2018 Winter Olympics) will sport this tech. In addition to the support for 5G networks, this chipset will support "all flavours of LTE, 3G, and 2G." Qualcomm, with the X50 chip, hopes to understand how 5G will work in order to release "a more complete version" of the technology in the near future.Unprecedented wireless speeds
