    Google has recently announced the availability of its next-generation Nexus smartphone in the Indian market. Initially the search engine giant, announced the Nexus 5X and the larger Nexus 6P at an event in San Francisco.

    The Nexus 5X has a 5.2-inch Full HD (1080p) display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection, and is powered by a Snapdragon 808 chipset with 64-bit architecture, coupled with 3GB of RAM. The phone supports a 12-megapixel rear camera with 1.55 micro pixels.

    The Nexus 5X is priced at Rs. 31,900 for the 16GB internal storage variant, while the 32GB variant will come at Rs. 35,900.

    The Nexus 5X is available in two color variants in India including Ice Blue and Carbon Black. The body is made of polycarbonates and is very much dust magnet.

    Single Speaker

    Most users are preconceive that the Nexus 5X has a dual front-facing speakers, looking at its appearance. The top one holds on-call volume, but there is just one speaker on the bottom front face.

    USB Type-C

    The smartphone comes with USB Type-C port, but it doesn't mean that is has a reversible port on the device. The USB cable provided with the Nexus 5X has Type C Port, but, you cannot connect it with PC or Mac, as they don't have Type C port. However, you need to purchase a Type C to a normal USB adaptor.

    Fast Charging

    The Nexus 5X supports fast-charging using a USB Type-C port. Unfortunately, the current Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 and 3.0 uses different technology, and hence cannot be used to quick-charge the 5X.


    None of the previous Nexus smartphone in the past got any earphones shipped. However, the Nexus 5X came with a set of earphone in the box. While, this may vary from regions to regions.
