Lava X46 vs Micromax Canvas Amaze 2: Which is a Better Budget 4G Phone

Lava is definitely on a launch spree as the manufacturer is coming up with more smartphones in the budget market segment. The latest one from Lava to enter the market is Lava X46 that carries a price tag of Rs 7,999.

At the same time, Micromax has announced the launch of Canvas Amaze 2 that is priced at Rs 7,499 and this one comes with better specs than the Lava phone. It will be exclusive to Flipkart and it can be purchased from tomorrow.

Now, with two launches at the same price range, we have come up with a comparison between these new Lava and Micromax smartphones. Check out the same from below.

Both have similar screens

Both these smartphones feature a 5-inch HD IPS 720p display on board that sounds standard. But, the Micromax Canvas Amaze 2 excels with the Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top.

Octa-core processor in Micromax phone is good

The Micromax smartphone makes use of a 1.4 GHz octa-core Snapdragon processor whereas the Lava phone is equipped with a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz. The RAM in both the phones is 2 GB.

But storage capacity differs with 16 GB of native storage capacity in the Canvas Amaze 2 in comparison to 8 GB of storage space in the Lava X46. Even in expandable storage the Micromax phone is better with support for 64 GB while that in Lava X46 is just 32 GB.

Android 5.1 Lollipop in both phones

Both Lava X46 and Micromax Canvas Amaze 2 run on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and they are dual SIM smartphones.

Camera of Canvas Amaze 2 sounds great

Being a sub-Rs 10,000 priced smartphone, the Micromax phone features a 13 MP main snapper with 5P Largan lens and dual LED flash. Also, there is a 5 MP front-facer on board with a wide-angle lens.

In comparison, Lava X46 is quite mediocre with an 8 MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5 MP front-facing selfie shooter.

Battery is also similar

Both the smartphones are energized by a 2,500 mAh battery and they are 4G LTE smartphones as well.

From the comparison, it is clear that the Micromax Canvas Amaze 2 is a better smartphone that features an improved processor, higher storage, and better imaging aspects. Nevertheless, it costs a bit lower than the Lava smartphone.
