No Flat Panel Display variant
Nearly a month ago, an official word from one of the Samsung's employee suggested that the company might ditch the flat panel display on the Galaxy S8. This move is because the S7 Edge variant has seen more sales than the flat panel variant of Galaxy S7.
A recent leak from Korea Herald, who are famous for Samsung's internal news said that the vendor is now only manufacturing curved display variants for their Galaxy S8.
Two Curved-Display Variants
Previously, Samsung used to release two variants of their flagship S series, one with a flat panel display and the other one with bigger and edge display. Now, the 2017 flagship will come same display sizes as their predecessors, but both of them will feature dual-edge display.
Design Changes
With Apple planning to release a newly designed smartphone next year, Samsung will also change their flagship smartphone design to compete the Cupertino giant.
No 3.5mm Headphone Jack
Samsung might follow the footsteps of Apple, as they do every time. The Galaxy S8 does not feature a 3.5mm audio jack and move to the USB Type-C port for audio.
Codenamed as Dream and Dream 2
Now, this is interesting news popped out. Samsung is internally calling the Galaxy S8 variants as Dream and Dream 2.
A 3.0GHz Processor
This news came from a Weibo user. The upcoming flagship from Samsung might be powered with the company's own Exynos 8895 processor, which will be clocked at 3.0GHz and will be more power efficient than this year's Exynos chipsets.
4K Displays
According to a report from mydrivers.com, Samsung is reportedly working on a new project called ' Project Dream', which heavily focuses on virtual reality and also their next-gen flagships will feature 4K displays to support the ongoing project.
6GB of RAM
This might be coming. Already there are plenty of Chinese smartphones sitting on the market with 6GB of RAM. And, the Chinese variant of Galaxy Note 7 also features 6GB of RAM. It is now obvious that Samsung will pack 6GB of RAM with the Galaxy S8 series.
