Following the launch of Redmi Note 4 in the Chinese market, Xiaomi's next smartphone Mi Note 2 surfaced on the Internet revealing the specifications of the smartphone. The latest rumor confirms the key design aspects and the specs that have already been rumored previously.
According to the leaks, this device will have several feature upgrades over its predecessor-- Mi Note Pro. As per the report, this smartphone will be powerful than the recently launched flagship -- Mi5.
Dual Curved display just like Galaxy S7 Edge!
As per the latest leak, the so-called Mi Note 2 is expected to come with a 5.5-inch OLED display and there will be two variants based on display resolution -- 2K and 1080p. With rumor saying that the so-called Mi Note 2 will support Force Touch technology.
It is Snapdragon 821 Chipset inside!
The leaked screenshot confirms that the Mi Note 2 is powered by a Snapdragon 821 SoC inside clubbed with 4GB/6GB RAM. In terms of storage, Xiaomi may offer Note 2 in two variants -- 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB variants.
Unibody design with dual camera setup
The alleged renders of the device have been shared by popular tipster @Kjuma on Weibo. According to the previous reports, the Mi Note 2 is expected to feature unibody metal design, dual rear cameras as well. In fact, the Xiaomi introduced the dual camera already with its budget-friendly Redmi Pro.
No external storage support!
Further, the company is dropping the external memory support for Mi Note 2 and will be available in Just like Xiaomi Mi5, there is a possibility that fingerprint sensor will be employed into the physical home button at the front.
Prepping up for September launch?
Moreover, the alleged Mi Note 2 was rumored to be launched on August 25, which didn't happen. Also, other reports suggest that the Mi Note 2 will go official on September 5 in China. Talking about the pricing of the device, the Mi Note 2 4GB RAM, and 64GB ROM will be priced at 2499 Yuan (approx Rs 25,000) while the 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM variant will carry a price tag of 2,799 Yuan (approx Rs 28,000).
Sadly, the above information is not authenticated and Xiaomi has made no official announcement about the launching or pricing of the Mi Note 2 till now. We advise you to take it with a pinch of salt.
