Back in July, Xiaomi took the wraps off the Redmi Pro flagship featuring dual cameras at its back. This smartphone is already available in China and it is eagerly awaited by the Xiaomi fans in the other countries.
The launch of the Redmi Pro does not put a halt to the rumors about the upcoming Xiaomi phones as the rumors about the Redmi 4 have started surfacing online.

As per a Weibo post, Xiaomi is all geared up to launch the Redmi 4 smartphone this month, August 25 to be precise, and it will be a low-end handset. Though this is not the first time that the Redmi 4 is appearing on leaks and rumors, this is the first time that the launch is tipped to happen in August.

Snapdragon 625 SoC to be used in the Redmi 4
The same source that revealed that the Redmi 4 will be announced on August 25 has also tipped that the smartphone will make use of a Snapdragon 625 chipset under its hood and flaunt a 5-inch FHD 1080p display.
No Helio P10 SoC?
Previously, the rumors pointed out that the Xiaomi Redmi 4 will employ an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor clocked at 2 GHz. Now, the information about the Snapdragon 625 SoC has popped up and this makes the rumors contradict.
Xiaomi Mi Note 2 might be launched in September
The source has gone further into the upcoming smartphones that will be added to the Xiaomi portfolio by letting out information that the company might unveil a new flagship device in September. Perhaps, this should be the Mi Note 2 that was speculated to be launched in the third quarter.
Can we expect a Mi Note Edge?
An analyst, Pan Jiutang, claimed that there is a possibility for the Mi Note 2 to be launched in August. In that case, there are rumors that we can expect a Mi Note Edge model to be launched in September.
Xiaomi Redmi 4 appears on benchmark
As per the GeekBench listing, the Redmi 4 might arrive with the Snapdragon 625 SoC, Adreno 506 graphics, 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of native memory capacity. It might feature a metal injection molded body, a 4,100 mAh battery and a fingerprint scanner too. It is tipped to run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS.
Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Specs that are speculated
The same source has tipped that the Mi Note 2 might arrive with a massive 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB of storage capacity. It could boast an AMOLED screen made by Samsung and make use of a Snapdragon 821 SoC that is the latest one. A 3,600 mAh battery with support for fast charging is expected to energize the device.
Pricing too gets revealed
The Redmi 4 is likely to be priced at 699 Yuan (approx. Rs 7,000) and the Mi Note 2 might be priced at 2,499 Yuan (approx. Rs 25,000) for the 64 GB storage variant and 2,799 Yuan (approx. Rs 28,000) for the 128 GB variant. Anyways, these are not official details and we need to wait for the same.
