    LG confirms the long-awaited Android 5.0 Lollipop update for its two smartphones, LG G2 and LG G2 Mini. The smartphone was unveiled last year with Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS.

    The G2 mini has been confirmed for the Lollipop upgrade at some point in this month. For the time being, update for the smartphone has only been confirmed in Greece.

    Meanwhile, LG Hellas at its Facebook page, has also announced the LG G2 will receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop update in Greece as well. Both smartphones should get the update in this month, but the update is only aimed in Greece.

    However, we expect LG will roll out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update globally for both LG G2 and G2 Mini. We will let you know more about the update as soon as we get the tip. In the mean time take a look at the specs of the devices.

    LG G2 comes with a 5.2-inch full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) touchscreen display and is powered by a 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. It runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system.

    While, the G2 Mini is a decent mid-range smartphone, powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of RAM. It comes with 8GB of internal memory and sports a 4.7 inch IPS LCD capacitive display featuring Corning Gorilla Glass 2 coating.
