Asus Pegasus X005 with 5.5 inch FHD display, Octa Core SoC clears TENAA

    Asus is all set to add a new member to its Pegasus line of affordable smartphones. Today the alleged smartphone was spotted at the compulsory TENAA certification listing in China.

    As always the images and the specs leaked by the listing give a much valuable inputs regarding the device even before the smartphone is unveiled. For those unaware of the Pegasus line up of smartphone let's remind you that this new budget series was started by Asus a middle of last year with the introduction of the Pegasus X002.

    Asus had also launched a smartphone dubbed the Pegasus 2 Plus X550 in China a few month back with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC under the hood. Surprisingly the Pegasus X005 smartphone that got leaked via TENAA earlier today sports a different design as compared to smartphone from the Pegasus line up.

    In terms of specs the Asus Pegasus X005 sports a 5.5 inch Full HD (1920x1080p) display upfront. Under the hood the smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz octa core Mediatek SoC, 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. Furthermore the smartphone comes with an option for memory expansion via MicroSD Card slot.

    The Asus Pegasus X005 measures at 155x76.4x9mm and weighs around 177 g. The mid-range smartphone from Asus features dual SIM slot (4G) and runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 with ZenUI on top. Asus is expected to launch the smartphone in three colour variants - blue, white and gold - in China soon.
