CMF Phone 2 Pro Launch Set for April 28, Alongside New Buds 2 Lineup: Here’s What to Expect
CMF, the sub-brand from Nothing, has officially announced the launch date of its next smartphone: the CMF Phone 2 Pro, set to be unveiled on April 28. This will be the second phone under the CMF label, following the release of the original CMF Phone in September 2023.
While full specs are still under wraps, early teasers and leaks are already offering a decent glimpse of what to expect—both in terms of hardware and design language.

Triple Camera Setup Likely
A teaser image shared by the company shows three circles—two large, one small—alongside an orange circle. This suggests a triple rear camera setup, possibly including a main sensor, an ultra-wide lens, and a portrait sensor. The orange circle appears to indicate the LED flash, echoing the design cues from previous CMF hardware that often leaned on bold accent colors.
The visual clues point to a focus on versatile imaging, although exact camera specs are still unconfirmed.
Custom Design, Again
Another teaser zooms in on a corner of the phone, revealing a metallic finish, visible screw, and a textured surface. These hints suggest that CMF will retain its modular design approach—possibly offering customizable back covers and attachment points for accessories like lanyards, just like the first CMF Phone.
This kind of hardware personalization has been a core part of CMF’s brand identity so far, setting it apart in a space where most phones look and feel largely the same.
MediaTek-Powered, With a More Compact Display
According to earlier leaks, the CMF Phone 2 Pro is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity chipset, potentially the Dimensity 7400. That would place the device firmly in the mid-range category, aiming for a mix of affordability and performance.
The screen size is reportedly around 6.3 inches, slightly smaller than the 6.67-inch panel used in Nothing’s original Phone (1). This could indicate a more compact, one-hand-friendly device aimed at users who prioritize portability.
New CMF Audio Products Also Incoming
CMF isn’t stopping with just the phone. The April 28 event will also see the launch of three new audio products:
-
CMF Buds 2 (successor to last year’s model)
-
CMF Buds 2a
-
CMF Buds 2 Plus
While details are limited, it’s likely these earbuds will be placed below the CMF Buds Pro 2 in the lineup, targeting a budget-conscious segment with a range of features at different price points.
